Two current Arsenal stars make Piers Morgan’s All-Time Arsenal best XI

Arsenal is one of the biggest Premier League clubs of all time, and it has had some of the best players in world football within its ranks.

Mikel Arteta’s side continues to attract top talents to its squad and has also developed some players who are considered important stars today.

In Arteta’s current team, the Gunners boast top players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, who have both shown that they can do a fantastic job for the team and their countries.

However, none of them have won the league for the club, as they battle Manchester City for this season’s title.

Ideally, players considered for an Arsenal All-Time best XI should have won the league and other club trophies.

Piers Morgan has named some of the current stars in his best XI of Arsenal stars, past and present, on his X page.

He named Saka and Declan Rice in a team that also included David Seaman, Lee Dixon, Tony Adams, Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp, and Thierry Henry.

Just Arsenal Opinion

Rice and Saka are on their way to legendary status at the Emirates, but it is too early to have them in this team.

  1. That is some team.
We all have our opinion but can’t forget the likes of John Radford.
Liam Brady. Pat Rice Frank Mclintock
    Cesc.

  2. Saliba would also be in my best ever eleven. Just infront of CAMPBELL who would be next CB in line but not a starter.

SALIBA HAS AN EASY GRACE AND A SPEED OF THOUGHT AND ACTION SOLIDITY THAT ELEVATES HIM IMO TO OUR SINGLE BEST EVER CB.

    1. I’d still go with sol – one of the best *defenders* I’ve seen and his pace allowed him to cover for weaker cb partners (eg cygan). Saliba is more standoffish in his approach, which isn’t a bad thing at all, but my recollection of Campbell is that he could be both the physically dominant, aggressive defender, like Gabriel or Kolo Toure for example, or play the more standoffish style like saliba or Rio Ferdinand – Campbell was brilliant either way. He also won things, which saliba is yet to do through no fault of his own.
That said, Saliba is far, far more comfortable with the ball, is still very young and is playing in a different era where I don’t think Campbell’s pace would have been quite such a weapon (there would be no saving cygan in today’s game) – he could easily overtake sol (in my personal estimation) over time.

  3. Saliba’s footwork, especially from such a big man, sets him apart. He is replacing Van Dyk as PLs best CB

  4. Saka can have a look in but I don’t think Rice would have competed with Viera nor Gilberto. Far off.
